Heather Dawn Gaskins is a multi-talented Feature Film Producer who is a graduate of Cal State University Dominguez Hills. She has used her Bachelor of Arts in Digital Media Art to obtain work in the areas of Editing, Producing, Script Development, Event Presentation and First Assistant Directing. She started working behind the scenes in production in 1998 on the feature film “Foolish” and has since work on numerous music videos, commercials, and live shows for independent production companies as well as such notable companies as The House of Blues, Mattel, and The Staples Center. All productions that have utilized her services have been very successful due to her focus and ability to be detail oriented.
This has never been more evident with her input in her feature film debut as Producer, Script Developer and First AD on Restraining Order, which won Best Feature at the HBFF and was the Center Piece Film of the Pan African Film Festival. Her abilities with Script Development afforded the writer with a NAACP Nomination for Outstanding Writer of a feature film.
Reggie Gaskins is a strong comedic actor with a great sense of comedic timing. His natural fun and charismatic personality has afforded him the ability to make people laugh with his various characters.
Although Reggie is a true comedic actor he is also very funny as a stand-up comedian. He spent time under the tutelage of seasoned stand-up comedians such as David Arnold, Chris Spencer, EarthQuake, Rodney Perry and Joey Wells, just to name a few. Each has encouraged him to go further with his stand-up. Although Reggie does plan to take their advice, as he has the highest level of respect for each of them, for now he sticking closely to his first love, which is acting.
Vonet Woods is a native of Harlem, New York. She fell in love with performing arts when a school counselor accidentally switched her piano class for an acting class. Vonet loved performing and decided to further her studies. She honed her craft as a theatre major at Howard University where she received a Bachelor of Fine Arts. While attending Howard she studied Shakespeare abroad at Oxford University and taught acting at the National Cathedral School of Washington, DC.
Upon graduating Vonet returned to New York. While pursuing her career she worked at her family’s business, the renowned Sylvia’s Restaurant, where she had the opportunity to receive invaluable advice from numerous actors she admired.
Vonet has guest starred on “The Chris Rock Show” and starred in the films “Hood Copz”, “The Cures for Love” and the award winning short “Sad”. Some of Vonet’s stage work includes “Jack and Jill”, “As You Like It” and “Alaska”. She has also starred in numerous commercials such as KFC, Fed-Ex and Sprite.
Jermaine Jacox, born and raised on the South side of Minneapolis, Minnesota, has been on the modeling scene for over 5 years. During this time Jermaine has modeled in over 50 fashion shows and made various guest appearances. In 2007, Jermaine made his way into the homes of many by way of an independently released twelve month calendar. In pursuit of a different career opportunity, Jermaine relocated to Los Angeles, California. Since his move, Jermaine has played the lead in the independent films "@ 4:30" and "3" as well as appeared in the underground indy S.H.M.I.L.U. He was featured in the music video "Many Moons" by new Bad Boy artist Janelle Monae as well as the "Green Light" video by John Legend featuring Andre 3000. Jermaine has appeared in various print ads and television commercials including Men of Lifetime for the Lifetime Movie Network, We Are Americans, Amazon.com and Silverton Casino.
Recently, Jermaine completed runs of the plays "Konvergence" and “The Power Of My Will”. He is currently preparing for his role in the upcoming play “The Battle Is Not Yours”.
Joe Holt recently relocated to Los Angeles from New York and has enjoyed Guest-Star spots on such shows as Grey’s Anatomy, Prison Break, Monk, and Close to Home, as well as a lead role in Lake Placid II as a Sudanese croc-killer (naturally…), after fulfilling his New York obligation of working the Law and Order circuit. In the coming months he can be seen playing an attorney opposite Idris Elba (The Wire, Obsessed) in the psychological thriller Legacy (Spring 2010), and also had significant roles in the upcoming Son of Mourning, and the horror brilliance that is Blood Shot.
Keena Ferguson, a native of Jefferson City, Mo, has been dancing since age three and entertaining the world in many art forms. Keena is a graduate of The Ohio State University where she majored in dance. Immediately following graduation, Keena moved to Los Angeles to advance her career. She has danced and starred with artists such as, Jay-Z, Gloria Estefan, Marc Anthony, Nelly and danced in various award shows.
Keena Ferguson’s talents go far beyond dancing; she models for magazines and clothing lines and has modeled for the famous hair care company Paul Mitchell. Mustafa Shakir is an actor and rapper. As an actor he has been featured in Law and Order twice, House (opposite LL Cool J), Cold Case, Numbers, Wanted, recurring role on Girlfriends (opposite Tracee Ellis and Wayne Brady), New York Undercover, Wasteland, Faceless, etc, to name a few small screen credits.
